Terms and Conditions

The Company (defined as ‘the Company’) Oxford Learning Online Limited - Registered office: 1st floor, 2 Woodberry Grove, North Finchley, London N12 0DR. Registered in England No. 7476386

These terms and conditions and the online booking form comprise the agreement pursuant to which the Company provides live online and online courses and supplies study materials to the Student (defined as the person booked on the course).

  1. Payment terms

 

1.1     Online booking forms must be accompanied by payment in full or the Student’s  authorisation to invoice their employer directly.

 

1.2     Where the employer has agreed to pay, full payment must be made before the course start date unless otherwise agreed with Oxford Learning Online.

 

1.3     Oxford Learning Online reserves the right to refuse admission to a course if full payment is not received prior to the course start date.

 

1.4     Oxford Learning Online reserves the right to charge late payment interest at a rate of 4% above the Bank of England base rate on any outstanding invoices.

 

1.5     Oxford Learning Online reserves the right to charge £50 for all dishonoured payments.

 

1.6     Payment plans are available to Students who have a UK bank account, otherwise upfront payment is required. The first instalment is made on booking, and the remaining payments will be taken on the same day each month to reflect the dates/amounts of the package chosen over the period of the course, unless agreed otherwise.

 

1.7     If an instalment plan has been agreed, the Student (who must be aged 18 or over) may be required to sign up to a direct debit scheme.  Direct debit plans can only be accepted from customers with a UK bank account

 

1.8     All discounts and offers are mutually exclusive.  Only one offer can be applied per transaction.

 

1.9     All overseas sales will be subject to additional import duties if relevant.

2.      Booking and registration

 

2.1     It is the responsibility of the person making the booking to ensure that the selected courses are appropriate for their needs.

 

2.2     By submitting the online booking form, you are formally accepting these terms and conditions and your booking on the course and start date as set out in your confirmation of booking.

 

2.3     Any change in the Student’s contact details must be notified in writing.

 

2.4     Oxford Learning Online does not accept responsibility for registering Students with professional bodies or entry for the relevant written exams.

 

2.5      Courses and study materials are not transferable between Students.

 3.    Cancellation Policy

3.1  The Company reserves the right to cancel a Teaching or Revision Course at any time up to 7 days prior to the commencement of such a Course. If the Company cancels a Course, a full refund will apply.

3.2 Course cancellation by the Student: If you have just changed your mind about a Course, you will be entitled to a refund if you cancel within the 14 day Cancellation Period.  You have 14 days after the day we issue you confirmation of your booking in accordance with clause 2.2.  The full fee will be refunded provided all study materials are returned to the publisher in re-saleable condition within 14 days of receipt and your online account will be terminated.

3.3  If you cancel after the course Start Date (but within the 14 day Cancellation Period), you must pay us for the elements of the Course provided to you up until the time you tell us you have changed your mind. If we delivered digital content to you immediately, and you agreed to this when you applied, you will not have the right to change your mind, and will have to pay us for that element of the Course.

3.4  The Company reserves the right to use its discretion to determine whether to make refunds in particular instances which fall outside the terms of paragraph 3.2 or 3.3 above.

3.5  If a Student wishes to transfer to another course, provided more than 14 days’ notice prior to the course start date is given and subject to availability, no additional charge will be made. If a Student wishes to defer their course to a later exam sitting, provided more than 14 days’ notice prior to the course starts date is given and subject to availability, the amount paid will be held as a credit on the Student or Employer’s account to be offset against the value of any future course booking.  Deferrals will be available for up to six months. Any new study materials required will be charged at full retail price.

 3.6  The Company reserves the right to use its discretion to determine whether to allow transfers or deferrals in particular instances which fall outside the terms of paragraph 3.5 above.

 3.7  No refunds, transfer or deferrals can be made if less than 14 days’ notice before the Course Start Date is given.

 

 4.    ACCA Online and Live Online courses

 

Online courses and resources

 

4.1     The Company’s Online resources and study support will be provided for a period of one exam sitting (ACCA)when a full teaching and revision course is booked. 

 

4.2     Online study materials will be delivered to the student’s preferred address.  The costs of delivery of study materials within the UK will be included in your fees.  Oxford Learning Online must be notified of any queries, complaints, damage or short deliveries within 14 days of receipt of study materials, if a refund or replacement is required.

 

4.3     Materials and online access are provided for the syllabus valid at the time of purchase. Replacement or updated resources will be charged for.

 

Live Online ACCA Courses

4.4     Each ACCA live online course lasts from the start of the online live course until the ACCA exam week in the sitting as booked by the student (when a full teaching and revision course is booked).

 

4.5     The Company’s Online resources and study support will be provided for the duration of the teaching course (when teaching only is booked) or the revision course (when revision only is booked) if a full course is not booked (ACCA). 

 

4.6     Physical study materials associated with online courses will be delivered to the student’s preferred address. The costs of delivery of study materials within the UK will be included in your fees. This will be despatched at the point of booking.  Delivery to overseas addresses will incur a charge. Oxford Learning Online must be notified of any queries, complaints, damage or short deliveries within 14 days of receipt of study materials if a refund or replacement is required.

 

4.7     We may change the course under these terms:

  • To reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements
  • To implement minor technical adjustments and improvements, which will not affect the delivery of a course
  • To accommodate minor or temporary changes to dates, which do not impact on the overall provision of the course.

 

 5.   AAT Online and Live Online Courses

 

5.1     The online resources and study support will be provided for the duration of the Diploma/Certificate from the date of online booking. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own Tutorials and Question Banks (Level 4).   Physical study materials will be delivered to the student’s preferred address (Levels 2 and 3).  The costs of delivery of study materials within the UK will be included in your fees (Levels 2 and 3). Oxford Learning Online must be notified of any queries, complaints, damage or short deliveries within 14 days of receipt of study materials, if a refund or replacement is required.

 

5.2     Once a student has achieved competency in their real assessment, no more support will be offered, although students will have access to the material up to the usual expiry date, being the final date of the Diploma/Certificate as advertised.

         

Online/ Online Live  (Single unit sales)

 

5.3     The online resources and study support will be provided for each unit for an initial period of 6 months from online booking onto the unit.  Students will be responsible for purchasing their own Tutorials and Question Banks (Level 4). Online study materials will be delivered to the student’s preferred address (Levels 2 and 3).  The costs of delivery of study materials within the UK will be included in your fees (Levels 2 and 3). Oxford Learning Online must be notified of any queries, complaints, damage or short deliveries within 14 days of receipt of study materials, if a refund or replacement is required.

 

5.4     Once a student has achieved competency in their real assessment, no more support will be offered, although students will have access to the material up to the usual expiry date, being 6 months from the start of that particular unit.

 

6.  Intellectual property

 

6.1     All intellectual property rights in all materials and online resources supplied by Oxford Learning Online is expressly reserved. Any unauthorised duplication, publication or distribution is strictly prohibited.

 

6.2     The Student agrees to fully indemnify Oxford Learning Online in respect of any infringement of intellectual property right.

 7.  Liability

 

7.1     The liability of Oxford Learning Online for direct losses arising out of its negligence (other than in respect of liability for death or personal injury), breach of contract or any other cause of action arising out of or in connection with this agreement is limited to the value of monies received from the Student (or their employer) for the course.

 

7.2     Oxford Learning Online shall not be liable for any consequential or indirect loss, howsoever arising.

 

 8.  Data protection

 

8.1     Data provided to us is necessary in order to provide goods and services. Oxford Learning Online takes the security of Student details very seriously and we ensure that we meet our legal obligations as laid down by the Data Protection Act 1998.

 

8.2     The Student agrees to allow Oxford Learning Online to retain information and use it to:
– communicate with the Student to perform their obligations under this agreement;
– inform students about their courses, products and services which may be of interest;
– provide feedback to Students on their progress and exam performance
– communicate with the Student’s employer regarding their progress, results and attendance.
– for AAT Students, information may be shared with the awarding body for the qualification (AAT)

          – for ACCA Students, information will be shared with ACCA for the use of the Results Service.

8.3     Students have the right to receive details of personal information held about them. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

 

8.4     Students have the right to request erasure of their personal details. Please note Oxford Learning Online is required to keep information relating to financial transactions for six years. Full details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

9. Validity

If any provision of this agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable the remaining provisions shall not be affected and shall be carried out as closely as possible according to the original intent.

 

 10.  Other important terms

 

10.1   Courses are not transferable between Students.

 

10.2   Students must not share any online content with nor make their online passwords available to any third parties including other Students.  We reserve the right to terminate access to your online account in these circumstances or where we detect any suspicious or unusual activity related to your account.

11. Technology

11.1   Essential requirements.  You will need the following essentials to participate in one of our ACCA/AAT courses.

  1. Access to a PC or laptop;
  2. Ability to connect to the internet via a broadband connection; and
  • Calculator – please note that some professional bodies specify the requirements for calculators and you will need to check this.
  • Your browser. Our learning platform supports all the major modern browsers.

 

  • Pop-up blockers and firewalls.Your web browser may have active pop-up blockers to suppress unwanted advertising.  Similarly, you may be behind a content-blocking device such as a firewall.  It may be necessary to reconfigure or disable these. If you are accessing the learning platform from work or in a public place you may have to contact the system administrator to do this.  It is your responsibility to ensure that oxfordlearningonline.co.uk is added to your safe domain list.

 

  • Computer equipment and internet access costs.These are not included in our Course fees and are your responsibility.

 

  • It is your responsibility to check that the computer or any other mobile device (such as a tablet) you plan to use to access your online course is compatible with the minimum specification requirementfor our websites and participating in webinars.

 

  • Digital content is available for a limited period only and that period will vary depending on the Course. Call customer services on 01235 470021 or email us at admin@oxfordlearningonline.co.uk if you’d like to know the specific period for the course that you are booking onto.

 

 12. Jurisdiction


This agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the law of England and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts for the determination of disputes arising under this agreement.
